As I get closer to my due date (Oct. 4) I keep thinking of Wyatt's arrival and all the things we have to look forward to. Wyatt is simply a dream come true. We could not be more thankful for our sweet little gift all tied up with a beautiful blue bow.

I often talk about with WH who he will look like. I wonder...will he get my chin? my hair? my brown eyes? or will he be the spitting image of his sweet daddy? I'm always telling WH, "I hope Wyatt looks just like you. You were the cutest baby ever! I bet that since Wyatt is a boy he'll look just like you." WH always says "I don't know, baby...he might look just like you. We'll just have to wait and see"

I can't wait to see him for the firs time. to hear his first little cry. to hold him. to kiss him. to tell him how much I love him. I keep hearing that there is nothing that tops the birth of your child. Whether it be your first, second, third....there is just nothing like it in the world. nothing.

Tuesday I'll be 26 weeks. 14 weeks left! So close yet so far away. For now we are just going to enjoy being pregnant as much as we can. We still have so much to do and so much more to dream about.

What's goose been doing lately??? Well he's been waiting on Wyatt.

The Weekend

This weekend was low key. Just the way we like it. Here is a recap:

We spent some time with a very sweet and good 6-month old. We were getting our practice in while seeing our neighbors.



We picked up our changing table and placed it in the nursery.



then the crib came a day early! Talk about excited?! We happily and quickly put it together. (no crib matress yet - who knew they were so complicated)


Last night we downloaded a ton of baby apps and played with them all. So fun! We have already picked out some favorites for when Wyatt is old enough to play. Little one up there was really good at playing some and she is only 6 months!

Date: May 19, 2011

How Far Along: half way there and then some

Size of baby: a can of red bull per some baby site.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: - 14 lbs so they said the last time we went to the doctor. We really don’t want to know, but we want to stay on track.

Belly size: daddy says mama has a beer belly.

Maternity Clothes: i have just a few tops and two pair of leggings. it’s too hot to wear the leggings. i’m in denial about buying maternity clothes. today I tried to wear a j. crew size small and my belly was showing, so I just stuck a long white tee underneath and decided I must buy maternity clothes.

Gender: IT’S A BOY – wyatt angus hudson

Movement: i’ve been moving more and more lately. it’s mama’s favorite part.

Sleep: mama and daddy can’t tell if i’m an early bird or a night owl. mama has been sleeping really well and she thinks I sleep mostly during the day. lunch hour is my favorite part of the day.

What I miss: being thin, all the cute summer clothes and cocktails.

Cravings: pop-tarts and southern food

Symptoms: none right now and mama and I are so thankful.

Best Moment this week: daddy felt me kick last night for the first time.

I thought I'd start Pregnancy Highlights to tell you about each week that I'm pregnant. Pregnancy Highlights should include a picture. This week you'll have to settle for the picture of Goosey.

How Far Along: 12 weeks today - yippee!

Size of baby: baby h should be the size of a lime

Total Weight Gain/Loss: about 10 lbs.

Belly size: we are starting to grow a bump

Maternity Clothes: I have on maternity leggings from Isabella Oliver and a J. Crew regular top

Gender: I don't know yet. Mama hopes I'm a girl.

Movement: Can't feel anything just yet.

Sleep: Sleep...Sometimes I sleep good sometimes I don't. On the weekend I can take a major cat nap. During the work week not so much.

What I miss: Having a drink! I really enjoy having cocktail hour with my husband on the back patio or a drink while on the beach. I'll just have to make up my own fun drinks and pretend like it's a cocktail.

Cravings: Mexican food

Symptoms: Mostly, I'm just tired and sometimes I do feel sick.

Best Moment this week: Receiving Goosey's shirt in the mail from my sister, See above.

Goosey loves shrimp too! Except for he calls shrimp Flemangos - not to be confused with flamingos. I wish you could hear him say it.

We did dinner instead

Valentine's Day was such a sweet day. I spent the whole day with my husband, traveled a bit and I didn't work. Instead of going to lunch as planned we went to dinner at our neighbor's house.

Our neighbor use to be a private chef, and let me tell you she can cook. We were delighted when we received the invite. Plus she has the sweetest 3 little girls! One of which is just about to hit the 2 month mark. The husband and I were virtually fighting over her. ha!

We had a to die for ham, the best mac and cheese I've ever eaten, a fabulous spring mix salad and pound cake that had strawberries drizzled with chocolate on top for desert. I have failed you as I didn't take any pictures at dinner.

On a completely different note. Goosey has been spending time with me in the master bathroom when I am getting ready in the morning for work. The master bath is really off limits to him, but I've been letting him slide. Why? One because he sneaks in there and because I'm the best Labrador mommy in the world!

Valentine's day

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this valentine's Day will be unusually special, but I'm not ready to reveal why just yet. That means you'll have to stay tuned for a while.

My sweet husband and I will be traveling that day and I'm sure we will go grab lunch, which is completely fine with me. I love to eat out and where we are going has a ton of restaurants. Did I mention there is also a Louis Vuitton store in the area?! Well there is...

My sweet Valentine as a baby. If this doesn't make you fall in love...nothing will. ha!
