Outfit of the day + Some

I heart my outfit today. Mostly because I am wearing a steal of a deal Gap shirt under $6...the best part is it's compliments of my sister. Those of you who know me, know that I love fashion and a good deal. I'd describe my style as classic with a twist. I like to throw in a trend every now and then with a classic outfit. Gotta keep it fun!

Pizza Date Night

Tonight I have a date with my husband - at home. I really like date nights at home, but don't get me wrong I like to go out on dates too. It's a little pizza date night inspired by Food Network's Giada De Laurentiis.

Giada makes her own pizza dough, but I'm not about to take on Giada's skills so last night, after my Junior League Meeting, I ran by Publix and picked up some of their pizza dough. One of the many reasons I like Publix; they are always here to keep it realistic for me. I'm a keep it simple, 5 - 6 ingredients or less kind of girl, and then I can cook it. Even though pizza dough is 5 ingredients or less, it's easier for me to buy it.

Thank you, Publix.

Don't worry...I'll let you know the out come of our Pizza Date night. Photos included.

We will not be alone on this little pizzeria date night. Who might be joining us? Well Goosey of course! He will be right besides us in the mix and we wouldn't have it any other way.

J.Crew Facotry Online

This morning I received an email from J.Crew letting me know that I can now shop J.Crew Factory Online Friday, Saturday and Sunday online only. How fun is that?! Tons, if one of your retail obessions is J. Crew; however, I think the outlet prices are a wee but high.

It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To

Today is my baby sister's 26th birthday. Our relationship is much like Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian's relationship as it is often described that way by La. Khloe and Kourtney are two celebrity sisters, who have a TV show and a good, fun & loving relationship.

Just a few photos:

Happy Birthday Laura! I love you!

September has me thinking about Fall

Does anyone feel like the end of the year has snuck up on you? How did we dart from July to almost October! I mean, really? Christmas is right around the corner. I'm so excited for fall! Pea Coats, hot chocolate, boots, hunting, shorter days are just a few things that come to mind. I really like all the Holidays that come too; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oh, and the decorations! I love the holiday decorations.

I'm waiting for our first cold snap and then I'm going to kick fall off with baking Pumpkin Bread in those cuttle little aluminum tins, which can double as a nice little gifts if prettily wrapped with an added bow.

Last year's pumpkin bread before and after picture (taken with last year's old camera phone):

That was my first batch as a rookie. For my second batch I'll be a professional.

The recipe I use is so simple, so I thought I'd share.

Simple Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 (16 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin

Directions
1.In a mixing bowl, dream butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Stir in pumpkin. Pour into two greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until bread tests done.

Always better the second or third day.

If you get lucky you just might get to try my pumpkin bread! Maybe...just maybe.
