Friday evening was spent at the Marina.
It was great to have a few drinks and mingle with friends. We even met this sweet little puppy:
Saturday was spent shopping and having lunch with a friend. It was so nice catching up!
Sunday, Will and I went to Tallahassee to run a few errands. At Target we picked up this flamingo for Goose. Let's just say it's his new bff.
and it's pretty tough work having a flamingo as a bff.
Sunday we played football with our neighboors until it started to rain. Goose had so much fun. We all did!
Will and I ended the weekend with date night on the sofa. We watched Brothers.
We hope Monday didn't leave you feeling like you're up to you ears in alligators!
my passion for our life, our dog and just things. all with the good intentions of sharing it with you.

This Evening Sky and a Big Decision
While we were outside playing with Goose I caught a glimpse of the evening sky, ran to get the camera and snapped a photo. I thought I'd share it with you. I love sunsets especially in the summer while at the beach.
I often wonder what all the sunsets around the world look like.
On a completely different note. I'm in love with this little cutie:
Photos from Darren M.
I just can't make up my mind. I ask myself: Do we really have room for another dog? Are we really ready for another dog? Two vet bills?
My husband is all for the little cutie. I'm the one holding back and I am the one who brought up getting her....decisions decisions.

The Weekend
This weekend was definitely low key. my husband worked so that left the house to me and Goosey.
I did make it out on Saturday to visit a fabric store in Tallahassee. Let me add that the weather was just beautiful. I am completing my second guest bedroom and wanted to share some fabrics that I adore.
This entire wall of bolts:
Goosey appreciates the dog print and well, I do too. I've been thinking about having him a dog bed made and this dog print would be completely appropriate for him:
When I was in Tallahassee I also picked up the panels for my kitchen.
Sneak peak:
I'll be posting more picture as things are completed. We don't have that far to go!
What fabric do you like? the coral/orange, the blue, the aqua green, the spicy olive and/or the browns?

Craigslist Treasures
Most of my house has been furnished with furniture from Craigslist. I have found some fabulous pieces. CL is either hit or miss and you have to check it every day so that you don't miss a good deal. The good stuff goes fast! I thought I'd share my latest treasures with you.
An armoire for a guest bedroom that is almost finished. I paid $140 for the airmore and it is excellent condition. It came from a local high end furniture store. The people I bought it from were getting rid of it because it didn't hold enough books.
A dining table and six chairs to go in my kitchen nook for $250. It's 100% wood. This set needed work and the cushions are being recovered by an upholstery shop to match my soon to be hung panels. I couldn't pass it up.

There are more pictures to come of the completed table and chairs. Do you ever stalk CL?? If so have you found any treasures?

the weekend
meet goose. all 79lbs of him. also known as goosey. he is such a joy to have and my only child.
this weekend we worked in the yard. all weekend long. we worked in the yard to tidy it up for an upcoming to be talked about event. goosey took a trip with us to a cute little nursery right up the road from our home. i wanted to get some plants for a flower bed, to the side of our house, that we cleared. I love plants, but my yard gets full sun in the front, doesn't allow me to have the plants i love the most, like cast iron, ferns and camellias. I have been going back and forth as to what I can put in this side bed...thinking does it get too much sun? are low light plants going to burn? so i asked the nursery experts and they helped me. here are some before and after pictures of my little flower bed project.

i finally got a camellia! goosey is proud too, in case you couldn't tell.
we heart our new garden and hope you do too!
