September has me thinking about Fall

Does anyone feel like the end of the year has snuck up on you? How did we dart from July to almost October! I mean, really? Christmas is right around the corner. I'm so excited for fall! Pea Coats, hot chocolate, boots, hunting, shorter days are just a few things that come to mind. I really like all the Holidays that come too; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oh, and the decorations! I love the holiday decorations.

I'm waiting for our first cold snap and then I'm going to kick fall off with baking Pumpkin Bread in those cuttle little aluminum tins, which can double as a nice little gifts if prettily wrapped with an added bow.

Last year's pumpkin bread before and after picture (taken with last year's old camera phone):

That was my first batch as a rookie. For my second batch I'll be a professional.

The recipe I use is so simple, so I thought I'd share.

Simple Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 (16 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin

Directions
1.In a mixing bowl, dream butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Stir in pumpkin. Pour into two greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until bread tests done.

Always better the second or third day.

If you get lucky you just might get to try my pumpkin bread! Maybe...just maybe.
